The Big Lebowsky

We began by watching the film of the same name, in its original version, in order to create a triptych serie based on the movie.
I chose to depict the relationship the two main characters shared with the third, Donny. He is, in fact, the scapegoat of the group, but once he dies, everything changes. The other two feel the emptiness his absence has created.
I conveyed this metaphor through colour: red appears only on Donny’s character, becoming increasingly present throughout the triptych despite his physical absence. The rest of the colour palette remains fairly muted, amplifying the power of the red.
The handwritten typography helps to give the work both character and intensity in its tone.
