My class was commissioned by the administration of our region to create social media content with the aim of encouraging young people (18–30 years old) to vote. This project took the form of a competition, and a jury selected the winning entries. I chose the Instagram Reel format to create an illustrative animation. For me, it was essential to have a powerful hook to keep the user’s attention. I therefore decided to reference Uncle Sam and his highly symbolic gesture to provoke the viewer. In the second part, he becomes more cheerful and encourages people to go and vote – a simple and easy act. I used the administration’s colours to ensure overall consistency.
